Kindergarten Graduation - June 4, 2009

Keeley getting ready; letting her nail polish dry.
A close up of her headband and earrings; she was set on having blue!

The Cake; Keeley cried when she thought she wasn't going to get any. I kept wanting to take pictures of her with her friends and she kept saying "I'm hungry!" I thought she wanted to go to dinner and when we started to leave, she was crying because she had just wanted cake! So, after a few bites of cake, she was ready for more pictures:)

Angel again (not so close up!)
Next to her graduation bucket. Included were a video montage of each class, bubbles, and a shirt with all the kids' signatures on it. Very creative and special!
Keeley singing. She did such a great job and did everything she was supposed to. She has really grown up this year!

Grand Canyon - 5/23/09

Our first view
Keeley getting her first look

In order to earn her "Jr. Ranger" badge from the Grand Canyon, she had to attend a Ranger class and we listened to his talk about Geology. Keeley was nervous to get his signature but she did it!

When we got out of the class it started raining! Here we are at the bus stop waiting for a tram. Thankfully it was covered! We rode the tram for awhile until the rain stopped!
Still sprinkling a bit but we wanted to see the Canyon again!
Can you see the fog?
Keeley having her "10 minutes of silence" so she could write about how the Canyon looked, felt, smelled, and sounded. This was also a requirement to getting the Jr. Ranger badge.
Keeley in front of Theodore Roosevelt's famous quote: "Do nothing to mar its grandeur for the ages have been at work on it and man cannot improve it. Keep it for your children, your children's children, and all who come after you."
Keeley with the Colorado River in the background
At our last stop, the highest point on the South side. It was finally nice again but not as clear as it was first thing in the morning.

Keeley kept saying "I'm NOT tired!" Yeah right!!!

Open House at School 5/6/09

Keeley was excited to show us her room but was silly and acting so shy with Mrs. Chapman. We just loved the billboard with Keeley's face as a farm animal. And I just had to take pictures of the good character tickets. The kids earned 100 and get to have a pet party next week. Keeley will be taking Mookie.
